Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Fiona Mactaggart (Labour), on Thursday, 24 July 1997, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 75 members in total.
DEATH PENALTY IN THE STATE OF COLORADO
That this House urges Governor Roy Romer of Colorado to show clemency in the case of Gary Davies, currently awaiting execution in Colorado; would deeply regret a return to judicial execution in the State of Colorado after 30 years without the use of the death penalty; and asks the Governor to maintain this record of respect for fundamental human rights.
