Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lindsay Hoyle (Labour), on Monday, 8 November 1999, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 24 members in total.
ANIMAL MEMORIAL
That this House supports the proposal for a memorial dedicated to animals in war; believes that a sculpture is a fitting tribute to the whole range of animals used in wartime, acting as a reminder to people ot the extent to which animals were used during wars in the 20th century and the numbers that died during service; and hopes the memorial will be placed in a prime site.
