FAIR LOTTERY FUNDING FOR THE COALFIELD AREAS
That this House applauds the swift response of the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to the recommendations in the Coalfields Task Force Report; and welcomes the investigation he has launched into the reasons for the poor record of lottery funding in the coalfield and former coalfield areas with the purpose of increasing their take-up of lottery funding to at least the national average by the year 2000.
