Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jeremy Corbyn (Labour), on Thursday, 3 May 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 20 members in total.
NATIONAL MISSILE DEFENSE
That this House is opposed to the United States' proposed National Missile Defense System; believes it would breach the existing ABM and non-military space exploration treaties and lead to an escalation of nuclear dangers; therefore calls on the British Government not to provide any facilities for NMD; and calls upon the USA to abandon this dangerous and wasteful project.
