Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Syd Rapson (Labour), on Monday, 19 March 2001, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 55 members in total.
DIVING ON MARITIME MILITARY WRECKS
That this House congratulates the three main diving agencies BSAC, PADI and SAA for producing a code of practice, 'Respect our Wrecks', advocating a look but do not touch policy incorporating all wrecks and underlining that removing items from wrecks is seen as unacceptable; and urges all responsible divers to use peer pressure on the small, irresponsible minority who interfere with marine war graves.
