Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Peter Bradley (Labour), on Monday, 10 March 2003, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 64 members in total.
PARLIAMENT AND THE PUBLIC
That this House acknowledges that Parliament is the most public of all out democratic institutions; deplores the fact that the people who own it must queue outside with no protection from the elements when they visit; and calls upon the House authorities urgently to introduce arrangements which show a proper respect for those whom Parliament serves.
