Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Derek Wyatt (Labour), on Wednesday, 15 September 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 41 members in total.
BAN ON SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES
That this House notes the success in Ireland of the ban on smoking in public houses, bars and night clubs; further finds that one of the unintended consequences has been that 10 million fewer cigarettes have been purchased there; and calls on the Government to introduce similar legislation.
