TRIDENT AIR DISASTER - JUNE 1972
That this House notes the successful campaign for the creation of a memorial for the 118 people who died when a Trident Aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Heathrow on 18th June 1972; and congratulates local residents, British Airways, BAA, Spelthorne Civic Pride Group and Spelthorne Borough Council on providing a memorial window in St Mary's Church, Staines and a memorial garden at Birch Green, Staines, where the aircraft crashed.
