Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gregory Campbell (Democratic Unionist Party), on Thursday, 29 April 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 24 members in total.
POSSIBLE REGULATION OF ESTATE AGENTS
That this House notes the recent initiative taken by Which on the need to regulate estate agents; acknowledges that the vast majority of long established estate agents are professional and carry out their functions without complaint from the general public; notes however in a survey carried out by Which that the activities of a minority has ensured that 82 per cent. of people thought that all estate agents should be trained and have a professional qualification; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to begin widespread consultation in order to establish what regulation may be required in this sector.
