That this House, in recognising the huge contribution which the late John Charles made to football in his native Wales and internationally, and in acknowledging his wider ambassadorial role both for Wales and the principles of sportsmanship, urges that support be given to the campaign by the Wales on Sunday for John Charles to be awarded a posthumous knighthood.
