Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Richard Younger-Ross (Liberal Democrat), on Thursday, 16 December 2004, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 18 members in total.

STANDING ON TRAINS

That this House notes the gross overcrowding on many high speed rail services that leads to passenger standing for much and sometimes all of their journey; believes that this both provides a poor service and places passengers at greater risk of injury in case of accident; and calls upon the rail operating companies to move to seating only on such services.
