PROMOTING FAIR TRADE (No. 2)
That this House congratulates Lewisham Council and the 25 local retailers, 13 local cafes, six churches, five other groups and two colleges which together have enabled Lewisham to become a Fairtrade borough; notes that Lewisham joins Camden, Croydon, Lambeth and Kingston in Fairtrade status; further notes that Fairtrade campaigns are underway in 12 other London boroughs; and urges all honourable Members to encourage and promote these campaigns so that London itself might achieve the status of the biggest Fairtrade city in the world.
