Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gregory Campbell (Democratic Unionist Party), on Monday, 13 June 2005, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 14 members in total.
REVIEW OF HONOURS SYSTEM
That this House notes the Honours List made public on 11th June; commends those on the list who have worked hard for little or no reward in the voluntary, community and local government sectors; however calls upon the Government seriously to re-examine the rationale that rewards those who, either, in the course of their highly-paid and secure employment or because of attaining celebrity status, are given similar recognition in contrast to those worthy recipients.
