Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Colin Breed (Liberal Democrat), on Thursday, 2 March 2006, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 12 members in total.

FIRST GREAT WESTERN RAIL SERVICE PROVISION

That this House condemns the series of cuts proposed in First Great Western's new draft rail timetable across Devon and Cornwall; notes with particular concern the cutbacks in the much-required and increasingly popular commuter services which contribute significantly to the reduction of road congestion across the region and improvement of air quality in towns and cities; and calls upon the Department for Transport and First Great Western to rethink their proposals and to restore the commuter services on both branch and main lines in the two counties.
