Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Greg Hands (Conservative), on Monday, 8 May 2006, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 11 members in total.
BOLIVIA
That this House condemns the decision taken by President Morales to seize all the gas deposits of the gas industry; fears that this will provoke a withdrawal of foreign investment in Bolivia leading to a loss of money and expertise to the Bolivian economy; is concerned about the impact of this decision on gas supplies in South America; and urges other Latin American countries to reject this outdated approach with regard to their own natural resources.
