Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Derek Conway (Conservative), on Wednesday, 1 November 2006, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 115 members in total.
FREE PARCELS FOR ARMED FORCES
That this House, whilst recognising that the cost of sending family parcels to British armed forces personnel overseas is subsidised, recognises that the charge is still high; urges a review to reduce further that cost when troops are on active service; and requests that the Government announce free armed forces parcel mailing during the impending Christmas period.
