Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Sally Keeble (Labour), on Monday, 12 March 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 162 members in total.
MAKE EVERY DAY MOTHER'S DAY CAMPAIGN
That this House regrets the tragic loss of life in the death of one woman worldwide every minute as a result of pregnancy-related complications and the death of 4,000,000 newborn babies every year; pays tribute to the work being undertaken by the World Health Organisation and Commonwealth Secretariat to highlight this through their Make Every Day Mother's Day campaign; and calls on the UK Government to work with its international partners to achieve Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 to reduce infant and maternal mortality rates.
