Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Brian Jenkins (Labour), on Monday, 19 March 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 43 members in total.

BRITISH FOOTBALL TEAM FOR THE 2012 OLYMPICS

That this House notes with disappointment the lack of progress made by the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish Football Associations in agreeing to have a British football team at the London Olympic Games in 2012; further notes that FIFA President Sepp Blatter's assurances that the voting rights and individual standing of the home nations will not be affected by the entering of a British Olympic football team; and therefore calls upon each association to work towards an agreement on entering a British team for the good of supporters in each of the home nations.
