Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ashok Kumar (Labour), on Monday, 2 July 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 29 members in total.
REFORMULATION OF SAINSBURY'S OWN BRAND OF SOFT DRINKS
That this House notes with regret that the recently announced reformulation of Sainsbury's own brand regular soft drinks has increased their calorie content; and calls upon the Government to engage further with the soft drinks industry to reduce the calorie content of their products, which contribute disproportionately to rising levels of overweight and obesity.
