Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lee Scott (Conservative), on Tuesday, 6 November 2007, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 35 members in total.
MOBILE TELEPHONES ON FLIGHTS
That this House is opposed to plans by some European airlines to introduce mobile telephone services on their flights; notes that in the most recent survey of business travellers the majority were opposed to the idea; believes that use of mobile telephones on aircraft will irritate other passengers; fears that users will face substantial hidden charges for such services; and is gravely concerned that the mobile service may be used to detonate a bomb hidden in luggage or cargo.
