KENYA

That this House deplores the violence in Kenya which has cost over 850 lives and displaced 250,000 people; further deplores the assassination of two members of parliament, one a member of the team trying to negotiate a settlement to the current crisis; and calls on the UK Government to both maintain the pressure on the political parties in Kenya to persist with the UN instigated process to find a democratic solution to the crisis, and also to continue to provide humanitarian support to the victims of the violence.
