GULF MUMS' ASSOCIATION

That this House congratulates the Ministry of Defence and in particular officials at their Gulf Help Desk for their welcome readiness to ship out, free of charge, gifts from companies and individuals to supplement the basic rations available; pays tribute to the Gulf Mums' Association formed by Mrs Sue Thomas and other servicemen's mothers in West Glamorgan and Dyfed, for their initiative in starting a scheme for this purpose; and further urges major retailers and others to follow the example of HP Sauce and the Daily Mirror and respond positively to the Association's appeal designed to show appreciation for British servicemen in the Gulf.
