Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Andrew Mackinlay (Labour), on Monday, 4 February 2008, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 32 members in total.
RAIL OPERATOR PENALTY FARE SCHEMES
That this House notes that the Rail Regulator has criticised those rail operators who, when setting up their penalty fare schemes, have simultaneously introduced extremely complex fare structures that are unreasonable and in some cases impossible for the average customer to comprehend; and considers that it is now time that he introduced a penalty scheme against those operators who have ignored or disregarded his criticism.
