ELECTION OF REINA EMILY LAWRENCE

That this House notes that the election of Reina Emily Lawrence as a councillor was a significant milestone in the campaign for women's rights and equality; further notes that the 100th anniversary of the election of the first female councillor on 12th December 1907 has generated considerable local and national coverage; and supports proposals to have a commemorative blue plaque erected in Avenue Road, London NW3.
