BICC COPPER REFINERY, PRESCOT

That this House notes with regret the recent announcement of 230 job losses, at BICC's copper refinery in Prescot; calls on the BICC management to recognise their responsibilities to their workforce and the community in Prescot; and urges the company to look favourably on the need for further investment in the area as a matter or urgency.
