AMBASSADOR BELMAHI OF MOROCCO
That this House notes that His Excellency Mohammed Belmahi is to relinquish his appointment as Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to the Court of St. James'; expresses its gratitude for his outstanding contribution to UK-Moroccan relations during nine years in the UK and in particular his personal commitment ensuring His Majesty's ??1 million sponsorship for Oxford University and the remarkable exhibition of ancient examples of the Bible, the Koran and the Torah at the British Library to promote greater inter-faith understanding; acknowledges the charming dedicated support Mrs ??se Belmahi has given to British-Moroccan events; and records its thanks to the Belmahi family for their distinguished service in furthering the historic friendship between our countries.
