Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ann Cryer (Labour), on Tuesday, 13 October 2009, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 54 members in total.

CLOSURE OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TESTING STATIONS

That this House is concerned that the closure of commercial vehicle testing stations under the Department for Transport's policy of privatising 85 per cent. of commercial vehicle annual tests by 2012 could adversely affect road safety, the environment and the viability of small businesses; and calls on the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency to suspend the closure of its testing stations until viable alternative arrangements are in place for all UK operators.
