Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor William Cash (Conservative), on Tuesday, 6 April 2010, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 5 members in total.
CAMELOT AND POST OFFICE LTD
That this House urges the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to make a statement that the Government does not support the application by Camelot, working with Post Office Ltd, to the National Lottery Commission for consent to offer cash payment of utility bills, energy meter pre-payments, mobile top-ups, housing rents and council taxes through National Lottery terminals; and considers that if the application were to be granted National Lottery would be competing unfairly against sub-post offices, small shop owners and small businesses.
