Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Martin Caton (Labour), on Tuesday, 22 March 2011, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 54 members in total.
GREEN DEAL AND MICROGENERATION
That this House notes that the proposed legislation setting up the Green Deal enables microgeneration to be part of this new scheme for making homes more energy efficient and reducing emissions of carbon dioxide; and therefore hopes that, when the details of the Green Deal are published, microgeneration technologies will be part of the final scheme, not only because they can assist with reducing emissions, but also because they can help in alleviating fuel poverty and in increasing public awareness of energy matters.
