RECOGNISING THE BOLSHEVIK REVOLUTION

That this House notes that the Bolshevik revolution took place 74 years ago, representing the aspirations of Russian workers and peasants; recognises that this important historical event was subsequently betrayed by the Stalinist bureaucracy who executed most of the revolution's original leadership; and, learning the lessons of the Soviet experience, supports oppressed people everywhere who are fighting back against class injustice - especially in Britain.

leave out from 'peasants' to end and add 'but recognises that this was a "con-trick" perpetrated for the purpose of enslaving the Soviet people and other peoples in Eastern Europe by corrupt power seekers who had no interest in raising the condition of the people; furthermore notes that in every country where socialism has been imposed workers rights and freedoms were trampled upon and shortages of food developed; and calls upon all those members of the Labour Party who admired the old corrupt socialist regimes of the USSR and Eastern Europe to come out, declare themselves and apologise.'.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'notes that Communist and Socialist revolutions are all incompetent and cruel and lead to the impoverishment of the society in which they occur; observes that capitalism is the only system which genuinely liberates people from slavery by replacing political priorities with a system of rewards and social freedom; notes that the leading Socialist philosopher Simone de Beauvoir in the book "The Second Sex" states that capitalism has done more than socialism to liberate women from drudgery; and urges Her Majesty's Government to remove all vestiges of Socialist systems in the United Kingdom as soon as possible.'.
