To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, when the Community Right to Buy Fund will open for applications; and what the timetable is for allocating the £61 million announced on 16 June 2026.
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, when the Community Right to Buy Fund will open for applications; and what the timetable is for allocating the £61 million announced on 16 June 2026.
The newly announced Pride in Place Community Right to Buy Fund, backed by £61 million, will help communities buy and run the buildings and spaces they value most, including pubs, shops, community centres, sports facilities and cultural venues.
The Fund will be a targeted and strategic offer, designed to support the new Community Right to Buy and focusing on communities in the most deprived areas. The funding is part of the £301m earmarked to support our high streets and community spaces, and builds on our wider package of investment in communities including the £5.8 billion Pride in Place Programme.
The details of this Fund, including timelines, eligibility criteria and monitoring and evaluation will be set out in due course.
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what criteria will be used to identify areas with historically low levels of investment for the purposes of allocating Community Right to Buy Fund support.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to (a) increase energy-efficiency and (b) reduce energy bills at Woking Community Hospital.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to (a) increase energy-efficiency and (b) reduce energy bills at Woking Community Hospital.
The Government has provided substantial support to National Health Service trusts to increase their energy efficiency and to reduce costs. In 2025/26, we worked in partnership with Great British Energy and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to invest £130 million in solar and battery storage projects, with funding allocated to 260 NHS sites. This was in addition to the £66 million invested in energy efficiency and decarbonisation schemes through the NHS Decarbonisation Fund across 84 NHS trusts. These investments are set save trusts over £300 million on their energy bills. All NHS trusts in England were eligible to put forward schemes.
In 2026/27, a further £25 million has been available through the Great British Energy solar scheme. The application window closes on the 22 June. Successful applicants will be informed over the summer.
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many times (a) he, (b) his Ministers and (c) his Department's officials have met with representatives of Domo Tactical Comms in Hamble Valley constituency.

Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) are an important partner for the UK Commando Force (UKCF). Ministry of Defence officials engage with DTC regularly, including personnel representing the Royal Navy (RN) and British Army. The RN have already procured a number of High Frequency radios from DTC to be integrated into the UKCF Strike Network.
To ask His Majesty's Government what evidence they have for describing socialism and communism as "united by a set of grievance narratives" in the latest version of the Home Office online Prevent duty training modules amended in July 2023.
To ask His Majesty's Government what evidence they have for describing socialism and communism as "united by a set of grievance narratives" in the latest version of the Home Office online Prevent duty training modules amended in July 2023.
Prevent plays a vital role in tackling radicalisation, seeking to intervene early where somebody is at risk of becoming a terrorist or supporting terrorism.
The Prevent duty training service is continually reviewed to align with the recommendations made in the Independent Review of Prevent, new Prevent Duty Guidance and CONTEST 2023. The latest update includes removal of the reference describing socialism and communism as "united by a set of grievance narratives" from the training module.
We will continue to improve and update the training modules to ensure that we can keep the public safe.

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what representations they have made to the government of Poland on behalf of British citizens with claims concerning restitution of property seized during (1) the Nazi, and (2) the Communist, eras.

The Government attaches great importance to supporting the families affected by the Holocaust – including in respect of property restitution and implementation of international declarations. The Government has raised issues relating to Polish law in the area of property restitution with the Polish authorities on a number of occasions including at Ministerial level, by the UK’s Special Envoy on Post-Holocaust issues, Sir Andrew Burns, and by our Embassy in Warsaw. The issue of property restitution was last raised with the Polish government in November 2014 during a visit to Poland by the noble Lord Ahmad. We share the hopes of international partners that the government in Poland will revive legislation as soon as possible, and we will continue to encourage them to do so.
We welcome the legislation passed in Poland in March 2014 that is intended to make the longstanding Polish benefit for war veterans and victims of oppression more accessible to eligible veterans and victims living abroad, including Holocaust survivors. Poland’s legal system already allows for claims relating to property seized during the Communist era to be pursued in their civil court.
Is the Minister aware that Chulmleigh academy in my constituency has been three quarters rebuilt for just £3.7 million, compared with the £18 million it was due to have cost under Building Schools for the Future? Given the school’s superb record of delivery and astonishing value for money, will Ministers smile upon the bid now in for funding for the last stage of this superb project?

I agree with my hon. Friend that the Government have delivered far better value for money in the capital programme than their predecessor, and that is why we are able to do so much on the capital front. He will not expect me to make a final statement now on the bid from his constituency, but his strong support is carefully noted by Ministers.

I congratulate my right hon. Friend the Member for North Somerset (Dr Fox) both on securing the debate and on his strong advocacy for Clevedon community hospital.

If we are to maintain clinical services on the original site, substantial investment will be required. I am sure that my hon. Friend will be sympathetic to our view. If a business case can be perfectly fine in March but dumped in July, if we, the poorest-funded PCT, can give...

My right hon. Friend makes a good case. From what he has outlined, I fully agree that some of the circumstances surrounding the decision seem extraordinary and completely unacceptable. He described it as being far from competent, and I would not wish to disagree, judging from his analysis.
