Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Mann (Labour), on Wednesday, 21 June 2017, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 11 members in total.
METROPOLITAN POLICE'S COUNTER-TERRORIST SOCIAL MEDIA MONITORING UNIT
That this House considers the failure to fund properly the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorist social media monitoring unit to have been a grave error; believes that a lack of resources endangers UK citizens because it increases the chance of terrorist recruitment and organisation going unnoticed; and calls on the Government to immediately increase the budget available to counter-terrorism forces in the UK.
