LIVE ANIMAL EXPORTS

That this House notes that tens of thousands of animals are transported long distances from the UK in cramped conditions every year; that these animals may then be exported further to countries beyond the EU with minimal welfare rules for slaughter; welcomes the potential for a ban on the live export of animals after the UK has left the EU; and urges the Government to support the 10 Minute Rule Bill being presented by the Right hon. Member for Chipping Barnet on 25 October 2017.
