REVIEW OF THE PUBS CODE

That this House notes that the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy told the House on 8 January 2019 that the Government would be announcing the statutory review into the success and operation of the Pubs code and Pubs code adjudicator by 31 March 2019; recognises that this review is a key opportunity to ensure that the Government delivers on the objectives that prompted the Pubs code; calls on the Government to ensure that the review is open and transparent and not only provides an opportunity for those who are committed to our pubs industry to contribute, but also makes public the evidence that is heard; and calls on the Government to publish a draft terms of reference and draft timetable for the review by 31 March.
