ASDA'S LONGEST-SERVING COMMUNITY CHAMPION
That this House congratulates the Asda Foundation on 30 years of giving back to the community; further congratulates Asda Toryglen employee, Elizabeth Arbuckle, on being Asda's longest serving community champion; notes that Elizabeth has served in a community role for more than 17 years; appreciates the work that Elizabeth and other community champions do to build relationships with local projects, to support community groups and to provide funding from the Asda Foundation; further notes that Toryglen Asda funded more than £40,000 in grants to charities and good causes in 2018; highlights the significant local impact funding of £23,125 received by Toryglen Community Hall, an asset used and enjoyed by those of all ages in the Toryglen area; and wishes Elizabeth and the Asda Foundation every success for the future.
