Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Christine Jardine (Liberal Democrat), on Thursday, 11 July 2019, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 18 members in total.

SYRIAN REFUGEES IN LEBANON

That this House recognises that there are around one million Syrian Refugees in Lebanon; condemns the policies of the Lebanese Government to demolish Syrian refugee camps; notes that the deadline issued by the Lebanese government has passed meaning that the army has now begun to use bulldozers to demolish the camps of refugees in the town of Arsal in East Lebanon; is concerned that this risks putting 15,000 children and 4000 families at risk in this one town alone; further notes that similar demolitions are planned to take place across the entire country; and therefore calls on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to urge their counterparts in the Lebanese Government to immediately halt this eviction of refugees.
