PAKISTAN INDEPENDENCE DAY 2019
That this House congratulates the Republic of Pakistan on celebrating the 72nd anniversary of its Independence on 14 August 2019; recognises the success that Pakistan has made of its independence since 1947; notes the huge contribution made by the Pakistani diaspora to the wealth, prosperity and development of the City of Newport, Wales, England, Northern Ireland and Scotland; acknowledges the deep ties between the UK and Pakistan; and congratulates Pakistanis throughout the world as they mark Youm-e-Azadi, Independence Day 2019.
