Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ruth Jones (Labour), on Thursday, 24 October 2019, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 11 members in total.
Customs checks between Northern Ireland and Great Britain
This House recognises the very grave concerns expressed by businesses and communities in Northern Ireland, Wales and across the United Kingdom about the impact of introducing checks and tariffs on trade between Northern Ireland and Great Britain; condemns any proposals or policies that would see an economic or political border drawn down the Irish Sea; acknowledges the very serious impact on ports in Wales as a result of any introduction of checks or tariffs on trade across the Irish Sea; and commits itself to standing up for all parts of the United Kingdom.
