Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Andrew Bennett (Labour), on Tuesday, 4 May 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 28 members in total.
KINGSWATER PARK
That this House, recalling with satisfaction the defeat of North West Water's attempt to destroy East Manchester's green lung with its plan for a business park at Kingswater Park, now warns local residents that, with the publication of Tameside Council's Unitary Development Plan, the battle to save Kingswater park may not yet be over; alerts all who care for this valued amenity to remain active and vigilant in its protection; and advises local residents, as a first, essential step, to make their views known in response to the Tameside UDP.
