Diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam
That this House notes that 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam; believes that over those years Vietnam and the UK have built a strong partnership; warmly thanks the current Vietnamese and UK Ambassadors, their staff and their predecessors for the work they have done in developing that partnership; appreciates the role played by the Vietnam-UK Network, the British Council and Chevening Scholarships in helping to develop business, cultural and educational ties between our two countries; welcomes co-operation across a range of issues, such as international security and tackling climate change; and looks forward to a continued and deepening relationship between our two countries for many years to come.
