Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Soley (Labour), on Tuesday, 30 March 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 61 members in total.
CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY REPORT ON TREES
That this House demands the publication by the Government of the Cambridge University report which shows that hundreds of tree species face extinction because of excessive logging; notes that Britain imports many of these endangered trees as timber; further notes that the report was partly financed by the taxpayer; and therefore believes that the British tax payer has a right to know what is in a report of this type.
