Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Adrian Ramsay (Green Party), on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 10 members in total.
Funding for clean heat schemes
That this House acknowledges the UK's legal commitment to reduce carbon emissions; notes the significance of Government schemes such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and the Energy Company Obligation in delivering this commitment; further notes that 14% of UK carbon dioxide emissions are from domestic dwellings; recognises that electric heating is vital to reducing emission from homes; expresses concerns that any cuts to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme or Energy Company Obligation could have negative consequences for installers of domestic renewables, supply chains and hold back the decarbonisation of heating across the UK; and urges the Government to fully support clean heat schemes.
