Kilmarnock Academy team crowned champions of the 10th Annual RTX Quadcopter Challenge
That this House congratulates Kilmarnock Academy and its team, KAPPAS, on being crowned champions of the 10th Annual RTX Quadcopter Challenge; notes that the competition, held at London’s Honourable Artillery Company, brought together a record 112 teams and over 500 students from across the UK; further notes that the Kilmarnock Academy team, supported by STEM Ambassadors from Collins Aerospace in Prestwick, demonstrated outstanding teamwork and innovative solutions to support community safety; welcomes the £10,000 prize awarded to the school to enhance STEM education; commends the RTX Quadcopter Challenge for inspiring over 2,000 young people from more than 200 schools over the past decade; and recognises the importance of STEM initiatives in encouraging the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators.
