Member for Mid Armagh and Speaker of the Northern Ireland House of Commons from 1945 to 1969; further notes Major James Stronge’s service in the Grenadier Guards and his role in the Northern Ireland Parliament and Assembly; recognises the profound loss to their family and community; and reaffirms this House’s unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, epitomised by the Provisional IRA’s actions at Tynan Abbey.
