Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Brian Leishman (Labour), on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 6 members in total.

Community spirit and the Coalsnaughton evacuations

That this House extends its thanks to all those who have supported, and continue to support, residents affected by evacuations in Coalsnaughton; recognises the worry, disruption and uncertainty faced by families who have been forced from their homes; pays tribute to the individuals, charities, businesses, and community organisations who have stepped up to help neighbours in need during this hard time through acts of kindness, generosity and solidarity; notes the overwhelming community response from those who have donated food and essential items, offered practical support, cared for pets, raised funds or simply been there for one another; believes that in the response to this upsetting situation we have seen the very best of Coalsnaughton, Clackmannanshire and the wider community; views these acts of compassion as an example we should all follow; and expresses its complete gratitude to every person who has played a part, big or small, in supporting those affected.
