Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Iqbal Mohamed (Independent (affiliation)), on Thursday, 2 July 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 26 members in total.
UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory
That this House notes with outrage the findings of genocide by the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel, documenting the deliberate targeting of Palestinian children by Israeli forces and widespread attacks on educational, religious and cultural sites in Gaza; expresses grave concern that the report concludes such attacks have caused severe and potentially irreversible harm to the Palestinian people and their fundamental human rights; reaffirms the obligation of all parties to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure during armed conflict; and calls on the Government to move beyond condemnation of these attacks by supporting independent international accountability mechanisms, suspending arms exports to Israel, and working with international partners to secure an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access, the protection of civilians and compliance with international law.
