Emergency and volunteer search and rescue services across Wales

That this House recognises the exceptional service of emergency and volunteer search and rescue organisations across Wales during the recent spell of hot weather; notes the increased pressure on services as visitors flock to the country’s coastline, mountains, lakes and outdoor attractions; commends the efforts of the RNLI, HM Coastguard, National Coastwatch Institution, Cave and Mountain Rescue teams, the Welsh Ambulance Service, police and fire services, community first responders and volunteers; further recognises that these organisations save lives, prevent tragedies and provide an essential public service in some of Wales’s most challenging environments; pays tribute to all those who dedicate their time and expertise to protecting lives across Wales; calls on the UK Government to recognise the invaluable contribution made by emergency and volunteer rescue organisations in safeguarding communities and visitors alike; and wishes all emergency responders and volunteers a safe and successful summer season.
