Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Chris Mullin (Labour), on Wednesday, 13 May 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 20 members in total.
THE DERBYSHIRE POLICE AND THE DAILY EXPRESS
That this House notes that the headline in the Daily Express of 28th April, Assassin Magee Breaks His Cover, refers to a man who has not yet been arrested let alone tried; wonders if any lessons have been learned by either the Derbyshire police or some sections of the media from the recent serious of miscarriages of justice involving persons wrongly convicted of terrorist offences; and further wonders what action the Attorney General is proposing to take against those responsible for this headline.
