SECRET MEETINGS AND THE CHANCELLOR OF THE DUCHY OF LANCASTER
That this House deplores the practice of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster, chaired by the Minister for Open Government and Chancellor of the Duchy, of meetings in secret as and when necessary, with minutes circulated only to those present to consider important matters including the distribution of hundreds of thousands of pounds of public money; and calls on the Chancellor of the Duchy to open the meetings to the public, publish minutes and follow the custom and practice of democratically elected local authorities.
