Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Mildred Gordon (Labour), on Monday, 21 February 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 126 members in total.
MARCH AGAINST RACISM
That this House congratulates the TUC on its initiative in organising the March Against Racism on 19th March from Spitalfields Market E1, to London Fields, Hackney; and condemns Tower Hamlets Liberal Democrat Council for refusing to allow the rally to take place in Victoria Park or Mile End Park in Tower Hamlets, particularly in view of the importance of giving support to those beleaguered sections of the local community who are the victims of the deplorable rise of racism and violent racial attacks.
